The College of Islamic Sciences at Baghdad University organized an awareness exhibition of posters under the slogan “A beautiful life without poisons”. The exhibition aims to spread awareness among students about the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on the individual and society.
The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Nimah Dahsh Farhan, and a number of faculty members and students. Dr. Farhan delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of combating drugs, noting that it is “a dangerous scourge that threatens our youth and the future of our nation.” He also called on students to work together to spread awareness and combat this phenomenon.
The exhibition includes a series of posters that illustrate the dangers of drugs on physical and psychological health, as well as tips on how to prevent addiction. The posters also include motivational phrases calling on young people to lead a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
The exhibition is part of Baghdad University’s efforts to spread awareness among students about the dangers of drugs. Baghdad University is one of the first Iraqi universities to combat this phenomenon, dedicating awareness programs and activities aimed at preventing addiction and treating addicts.
Students showed great interaction with the exhibition, expressing that they benefited from the information provided and emphasized the need to continue such awareness-raising events.
Organizing the poster exhibition is an important step in the fight against drugs and spreading awareness among young people, and Baghdad University hopes that these efforts will contribute to curbing the spread of this dangerous phenomenon and creating a drug-free society.
