In a humanitarian and supportive gesture, a delegation from the Department of Comparative Religions at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Baghdad University visited the wounded of the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip at the private nursing hospital in the capital Baghdad.
The delegation included a group of professors from the department, who brought flowers and gifts to the patients, expressing feelings of solidarity and sympathy with them and their families in their painful ordeal .During the visit, members of the delegation, headed by Prof. Dr. Hazem Adnan, Head of the Department of Religion, met with the wounded and listened to their moving stories about their steadfastness in the face of the aggression. They also expressed their absolute support for the just Palestinian cause and their stand with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to liberate their land and establish their independent state.
This visit comes as part of a series of events organized by the College of Islamic Sciences to support the Palestinian cause, embodying its Islamic principles based on supporting the oppressed and vulnerable, and strengthening the bonds of Arab and Islamic brotherhood.The college is keen to instill noble Islamic values in its students and promote the spirit of solidarity with the causes of the Arab and Islamic nation, especially the Palestinian cause, which is subjected to the most heinous types of injustice and aggression.The College of Islamic Sciences is one of the leading educational institutions in Iraq that pays great attention to supporting the Palestinian cause, through The college periodically organizes international seminars and educational lectures aimed at spreading awareness of the Palestinian cause and introducing students to the rights of the Palestinian people and their ancient history.
