The College of Islamic Sciences at Baghdad University held its annual Hussaini service procession to celebrate the Arbaeeniyah of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and to welcome visiting delegations from all over the world.
The procession witnessed the wide participation of the college’s professors, staff and students, who responded with great responsibility and volunteered to provide the finest services to the honored visitors. These services included providing meals and water, providing first aid, organizing crowds, giving valuable lectures and other services that contribute to facilitating the visit.In a special statement to the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nimah Dahsh Farhan, he affirmed the performance of this religious and humanitarian duty, pointing out that the procession represents an annual tradition established at the College of Islamic Sciences, and aims to serve the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and meet their needs.Dr. Farhan added that the procession acquires special importance in light of the Arbaeen visit, which is the largest peaceful gathering in the world, noting the great role that this visit plays in promoting lofty human values, such as cooperation, solidarity and service.
The role of the Hussaini service procession goes beyond providing logistical services to the visitors, but goes beyond it to achieve noble goals such as strengthening social ties, building character, serving the community, and spreading the culture of Imam Hussein.This beautiful event is a role model for serving the honored visitors, and it calls on all of us to cooperate and join hands to build a better society.
