In a noble humanitarian initiative, Dr. Jalila Fayyad Sajit Al-Rakabi, a faculty member in the Department of Islamic Creed at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad, visited the elderly home “Wabilwalidain Ihsanan,” where she delivered a valuable lecture on Islamic creed that was well-received by the elderly residents.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Rakabi did not limit herself to the academic aspect; she also made a point to interact directly with the elderly. She patiently addressed their religious inquiries in detail, which contributed to reassuring their hearts and strengthening their faith.
Dr. Al-Rakabi’s generosity did not stop there; she also took the initiative to donate some essential materials needed by the elderly residents, reflecting her deep concern for their comfort and happiness.
In a comment on this visit, Professor Dr. Ne’mah Dahash Farhan, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, praised this humanitarian initiative, emphasizing the important role of faculty members in society and calling for more efforts to serve the community.
Dr. Farhan added that this visit represents the culmination of a series of activities undertaken by the college to serve the community, aiming to promote religious and cultural awareness and provide support to those in need.
This visit serves as a model to be emulated in community service and calls upon us all to exert greater efforts to bring happiness to others and help them overcome challenges
