The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Arabic Language recently organized a seminar titled “Youth Deviation: Causes and Treatment” at the Zahra Hall. The seminar addressed the various causes of youth deviation, including poverty, unemployment, weak religious values, emotional emptiness, and family disintegration.
Professor Dr. Mohannad Mohammed Saleh presented multiple solutions and treatments for the phenomenon of youth deviation during the seminar. These included strengthening religious values among youth, creating job opportunities, encouraging positive activities to fill leisure time, and addressing family disintegration issues through psychological and social support. The seminar emphasized the importance of collaboration between families, communities, educational institutions, and religious organizations to combat youth deviation and provide a conducive environment for positive growth. The seminar was well-attended by the dean of the college, Professor Dr. Nama Dahish Farhan, along with specialists and individuals interested in youth issues. A lively discussion took place among participants on effective strategies to address and prevent youth deviation in society.
