The Department of Finance and Banking, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit and under the supervision of the Ibn Sina Unit for E-Learning at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop on the applications of e-classrooms. The workshop took place in the college’s Computer Center Hall and was attended by a large number of faculty members. The primary objective was to showcase the key steps involved in creating an e-classroom using the Google Classroom application, a feature within Google’s suite of user accounts.
The workshop was led by Dr. Alaa Ihsan Saloom, who explained the concept of e-classrooms and the requirements for establishing them. He also detailed the steps for creating an e-classroom, adding course materials, and how to host students and faculty members. The workshop further covered the process of setting up notifications within these classrooms, archiving and copying content, and conducting assessments and evaluations, including assigning grades to students.
It is noteworthy that the College of Islamic Sciences was the first to implement this project since last year, following the directives of the University of Baghdad.
