Sciences at the University of Baghdad, obtained acceptance to publish a joint research paper with a doctoral student, Somaya Ahmed Salem, entitled “Principles of Conversational Discourse in the Narrative Discourse of Ali Al Qasimi” in the French Journal of Res Militaris indexed in Scopus /Q3.
The research has dealt with an aspect of the pragmatic theory, as this research seeks to shed light on the complementary principles of the principle of cooperation, which are the principles of conversational process. Grice’s theory is limited to the informative discourse, and has neglected important conversational aspects that may be a reason for the deviation of utterance from its semantic content. This study has paved the way for the statement of conversation principles in the novels of Dr. Ali Al Qasimi. His texts have undergone a procedural application, which were coherent, sober, and complete creative texts in themselves carrying multiple signs and meanings revealed by the readers’ attempts, due to their aesthetics that send in the recipient a positive energy, which transcends the surface of the visuals, and its sensory entities, to be immersed in an ingenious process of creation, very awe and beauty.
