The Head of the Islamic Civilization Department at the College of Islamic Sciences participated in the defense of a master’s thesis at the University of Mosul
Dr. Najat Ali Mohammed, Head of the Islamic Civilization Department at the University of Baghdad, participated in a scholarly discussion of a master’s thesis by student Ahmed Hamid Mohammed at the College of Archaeology, University of Mosul. The thesis presented a comprehensive field study of the heritage palaces in the district of Sharqat, enriching the discussion with her extensive expertise in Islamic civilization and architectural heritage.
This thesis represents a valuable addition to academic knowledge, as it contributes to documenting and highlighting an important aspect of Iraqi heritage—the heritage palaces in Sharqat. Through his comprehensive field study, the student was able to provide an in-depth analysis of the characteristics, history, and cultural significance of these palaces.
The thesis received commendation from the discussion committee, which approved it with a passing grade, expressing admiration for the significant research effort exerted by the student.
