The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Department of Comparative Religions, organized an awareness workshop titled ‘Small Projects: Women’s Path to Economic Independence and Family Well-being’ in the Department of Religions. The workshop, presented by Ms. Zeinab Sameer and Dr. Zaman Qasim, aimed to raise awareness among women about the importance of small projects and their role in empowering women economically and improving their family’s standard of living.

The workshop covered various topics such as: the importance of small projects for women, types of small projects, steps to establish a small project, the challenges women face in establishing small projects, and solutions to overcome these challenges. The workshop received great interest from women, who actively participated in lively discussions on various topics related to small projects. They also expressed their appreciation for the information provided in the workshop and their desire to establish small projects of their own.

The workshop “Small Projects: Women’s Path to Economic Independence and Family Well-being” is considered an important step towards empowering Iraqi women economically and improving their family’s standard of living. It is expected that this workshop will have positive long-term effects on women and the Iraqi society as a whole.
