The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the University of Lorestan in Iran, organized an international seminar entitled “The Palestinian Issue in the Conscience of titutions, as well as religious and academic figures.
The seminar, led by Professor Dr. Thaer Ibrahim, addressed two main topics. The first topic, presented by Professor Dr. Hazem Adnan Ahmed, the head of the Department of Religious Studies, was titled “The Palestinian Issue in the Human Conscience.” In this segment, he explored the historical roots and origins of the Palestinian issue, tracing it through various historical timeframes, culminating in the Palestinian Nakba of 1948. He also highlighted the historical crimes committed by the Zionist movement.
The second topic, “Palestine: The Most Vital Common Cause for the Islamic Nation,” was presented by Dr. Majid Moayedi Ghulam, a lecturer at the University of Lorestan. He emphasized Israeli violations of international law and human rights, particularly the impact of these violations on the civilians and society of Gaza. Dr. Ghulam stressed the importance of mobilizing efforts and countering aggression through intellectual discourse that challenges the flawed foundations of the Zionist entity.
During his intervention, Dr. Al-Saadi condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, characterizing it as a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law, constituting a war crime.
Furthermore, Dr. Nazari denounced the Zionist crimes against the people of Gaza and emphasized the necessity of resisting Zionist occupation through scholarly and intellectual means
