[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Assistant Lectturer Israa Najm Abed, from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad, participated in the First International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Blockchain, and Communication Technologies held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, from July 13 to 14, 2024. Abdul presented a co-authored paper titled “A Qualitative Study of English Language Teachers’ Perceptions of Teaching English Through Artificial Intelligence in General Education in Iraq.”<\/p>\n

The paper analyzed and studied English language teachers’ perceptions of using artificial intelligence in general education in Iraq, exploring the challenges and opportunities they might face in adopting this technology. It also provided a comprehensive evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of using artificial intelligence in English language teaching, its impact on student motivation and learning improvement, and the readiness of teachers and educational institutions to adopt this technology. The paper concluded with recommendations to enhance the use of artificial intelligence in education.<\/p>\n

The research received significant attention from attendees and was well-received by researchers and experts at the conference. It has been accepted for publication by Springer, a major academic publisher, recognized as the second most prestigious academic publisher in the world after Elsevier.<\/p>\n

This achievement underscores the competence of Iraqi researchers and their commitment to staying abreast of modern developments in education. It also highlights the University of Baghdad\u2019s dedication to supporting its researchers and providing opportunities for them to participate in international forums and disseminate their distinguished research.[\/vc_column_text]
