Postgraduate Degrees in Law in the Republic of Iraq for Master\u2019s and Doctoral Programs<\/span><\/h3>\n

Study Duration for Each Program<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1- Master\u2019s Degree: <\/strong>The duration of study is two calendar years. The program qualifies graduates for advanced positions in the public and private sectors and the academic field. It is officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.<\/p>\n

First Year:<\/strong>\u00a0Specialized coursework (theories, foundations, etc.) delivered over two semesters (typically 15 weeks each), with written and oral examinations.<\/p>\n

Second Year:<\/strong>\u00a0Preparation and writing of the master\u2019s thesis and conducting scientific research.<\/p>\n

2- Doctoral Degree: <\/strong>The duration of study is three calendar years. The program qualifies graduates for advanced positions in the public and private sectors and the academic field. It is officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher\u00a0 Education.<\/p>\n

First Year:<\/strong> Specialized coursework (theories, foundations, etc.) delivered over two semesters (typically 15 weeks each), with written and oral examinations, in addition to passing the comprehensive exam.<\/p>\n

Objectives of Postgraduate Studies<\/span><\/h3>\n

Providing state institutions with qualified islamic Sharia and arabic language and islamic thought professionals for work in ministries, and the private sector.<\/p>\n

Developing scientific research to address societal challenges and solve problems.<\/p>\n

Preparing personnel for academic careers at universities.<\/p>\n

Overall, postgraduate programs aim to graduate specialized professionals qualified to work in governmental institutions and higher education. Degrees are granted after studying one of the following specializations:<\/p>\n

  2. Creed and Islamic Thought<\/li>\n
  3. Arabic Language<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Career Opportunities<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Graduates with degrees in Islamic studies can work in the following fields, according to the regulations in their respective countries:<\/p>\n

    Education, government ministries, and other government departments; religious advisory services;<\/p>\n
